We look for businesses where the sustainable option competes on quality, price and experience, not on goodwill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revyve passed that test on the reformulation question. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its yeast-based ingredients deliver the gelling, binding and emulsifying functionality manufacturers already get from egg, at affordable cost. The commercial pull is concrete: egg supply is exposed to price volatility and disease outbreaks, and manufacturers are actively looking for a second source they can qualify. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revyve is answering a procurement problem that exists whether or not carbon is on your agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two axes at once. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Environmentally, it takes demand out of laying hens and the land and feed behind them. Commercially, a manufacturer with a qualified non-animal texturiser is structurally less exposed to avian influenza and egg price spikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resilience and footprint pointing the same way is exactly what we look for<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ve led and governed industrial businesses with billions in revenue and thousands of employees. What attracted you to bringing that experience to a company at<\/strong> Revyve\u2019s stage?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have spent most of my career in specialty chemicals and food ingredients, often at the intersection of technology, innovation and customer solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an engineer, I have always been fascinated by turning technology into products that address real market needs. That is what attracted me to Revyve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its proprietary technology supports the transition towards more sustainable and plant-based food systems, and the company has moved beyond proof of concept into commercial production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now the challenge is to scale that innovation into a successful business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I enjoy working with a team that combines entrepreneurial energy with experienced industry leadership, and this is a journey where I believe my experience and network can genuinely add value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an independent board member, you see how Revyve is run from the inside. What gives you confidence in the company\u2019s ability to scale from where it is today to a reliable commercial supplier?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several important foundations are already in place: the process works at commercial scale, production is reproducible, and Revyve already has customers and repeat sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opportunity is supported by strong trends towards more sustainable and plant-based food systems, natural ingredients and greater supply resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revyve addresses these needs by providing technological functionality in food applications, including functionalities traditionally provided by ingredients such as egg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next challenge is commercial scale-up. In food ingredients, success comes from developing application-specific solutions together with customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revyve combines proprietary technology and demonstrated customer demand with entrepreneurial energy and experienced industry specialists, a combination I consider essential when moving from innovation to commercial scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What made you decide to add Revyve to your portfolio? Of all the ingredients you could carry, what stood out?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Revyve stood out to us because the ingredients are genuinely different and have applications that are not immediately obvious. That was particularly interesting from the start, when we began working with Vitality and Adventure. We could see potential across several areas of food production, rather than in just one narrow category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Our laboratory team is still testing the products in different recipes and under different production conditions. Each round of work gives us a better understanding of where they can add value. The fit with the market is also clear: natural solutions, cleaner labels and ingredients with longer-term potential are becoming increasingly important to our customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How have your customers responded to Revyve’s ingredients?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The response has been encouraging. One of our sauce-manufacturing customers was positively surprised not only by the stabilising effect of the ingredients, but also by the improvement in texture. After the first trials, they moved quickly to test them in a wider range of their products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      That reaction shows that the value of these ingredients goes beyond a single technical benefit. Once customers see their practical effect in their own recipes, they are keen to explore further applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How has Revyve been to work with as a supplier<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        What we value most is their practical, application-led approach. With ingredients this innovative, information on paper is only the starting point. Revyve puts real effort into testing across different recipes, applications and production parameters. That gives us a much clearer picture of what the ingredients can do and helps us turn an interesting innovation into realistic formulation opportunities for our customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        We decided to add Revyve to our portfolio because we saw a very strong combination of innovation, functionality and sustainability. What particularly stood out to us was Revyve\u2019s ability to offer highly relevant functionalities for food manufacturers while answering some of the key trends we see in the market today: cleaner labels, more sustainable ingredient solutions and alternatives to traditional animal- or chemically derived functional ingredients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        From a commercial perspective, we also saw an opportunity to bring something genuinely differentiated to our customers. Revyve gives us the possibility to approach customers with a new technology and to work with them on formulation challenges where functionality, sustainability and product quality all need to come together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


        How has Revyve been to work with as a supplier?<\/strong>

        Our experience working with Revyve has been very positive. We particularly appreciate the openness and responsiveness of the team and their willingness to support us not only from a commercial perspective, but also in technical discussions with customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        For an innovative ingredient, having a supplier that can provide reliable documentation, application knowledge and timely technical support is essential. The collaboration between our teams has allowed us to approach the market with greater confidence and to develop opportunities together rather than working through a traditional supplier-distributor relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        How have your customers responded to Revyve’s ingredients?<\/strong>

        Customer response has been very encouraging, and we have seen particularly strong interest in hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) replacement. Customers are increasingly looking for more natural and label-friendly solutions without compromising the functionality and performance of the final product. This is an area where Revyve has generated very interesting discussions, as it addresses a real formulation challenge while also fitting well with the broader movement towards cleaner and more recognizable ingredient lists.

        Revyve has truly innovative with results we had not seen in the market. At Lallemand, we developed a similar concept but due to patent-related limitations, we concluded that Revyve had a superior technology with great intellectual protection.
